COVID-19 Statement For In-Person Classes

We are so excited to have in-person classes but please know by attending in-person classes with DFD, you are increasing your risk of exposure to COVID-19.  Our safety protocols in place will help minimize that exposure and we will do our best to keep you safe.

If you are exhibiting any symptoms of COVID-19, have tested positive for COVID-19, have been exposed directly to COVID-19, or had a member of your household test positive or show symptoms, you may not attend class until after a minimum 5 day quarantine period since initial exposure, symptoms or positive test result.  Furthermore, it must be reported to DFD immediately if you have been in a studio. Masks will then be required for anyone returning after COVID isolation. This is for the safety of everyone.

The following policies apply to everyone attending in-person classes (students, volunteers, faculty, instructors, parents/guardians & family members) and are designed to keep everyone safe.

  •  No one is to enter the building or come to class if you are exhibiting any symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19

  • Masks are optional but HIGHLY ENCOURAGED. Given the close proximity of our dancers and the fact that people are breathing heavily and exerting themselves, we are encouraging everyone, even those that have been vaccinated, to wear masks.  We also realize we may have some students that are not vaccinated so this is for everyone’s safety.

  • Everyone will be given hand sanitizer before and after class (upon entering building & right before you exit)

  • All water bottles must be clearly labeled with student’s name as to avoid any confusion

If you are unable to align with these policies, we kindly ask that you refrain from registering for in-person classes.  We do also offer an online program that is available to you.

We will try our best to keep all in-person classes in-person for the full session.  If an in-person class must transition to Zoom for whatever reason, all tuition rates will remain the same.

The maximum number of students and volunteers for in-person classes is limited.  The number of students and volunteers allowed in each studio varies based upon the location and its specific dimensions.  Thank you for your understanding.

As we learn more and as guidance changes, this is all subject to change.  Thank you for your support in helping to make DFD a safe environment for all.

Parent/Guardian Waiting Area

As always, we will continue to require 1 parent or guardian to remain on the studio property for the duration of each class.  The waiting area will differ from studio to studio.

  • Some waiting areas will be outside or in the parking lot

  • Every parent/guardian must be easily visible and accessible

  • For a student needing a lot of support, we may request that the parent/guardian remain in studio or even volunteer with their student inside the studio if needed

We sincerely appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this policy so we can plan to continue to offer in-person programming. Thank you.
